Djayg is Atlanta’s Next Up in Hip-Hop and R&B. Born and raised in the City of Atlanta, Djayg hails from the south side, College Park to be exact. By 9, Djayg would start singing and by 11 he would put pen to paper and start writing his own songs. The oldest of 5 kids, Djayg has found himself learning morals and principles that reflect his music, depicting what everyday life looks like for a teen dismissing the pressures of the community that surrounds him. Influenced by artists like Drake, No Cap, and his Mother, DJayg states “ my sound is like an r&b rapper, I’m a very emotional visual artist.” His melodic rap style and hypnotic singing voice captures a rare sound that keeps his audience anxiously anticipating his next hit. Not only does Djayg’s approach keep his peers wanting more but the context of Djayg’s music breaks the generational gap, Gen Z knows love and heartache too. Now with the guidance of music executive Ray Daniels, Djayg is prepared to create music that lives beyond his time in the music industry.
