Wince is a South Brooklyn (actual south) based band consisting of Dave, Greg (Albania), Ryan (Palmer), and their parental guardian, William Ren. They were born on the theoretical guest list at The Nest (South Brooklyn, actual south) and are comprised of the three elementals of degenerate rock: 1. Bocce 2. Dr. Pepper, 3. The orange sedimentary hand soap of Trans Pecos. Their writing style consists of Dave using Musescore like a real smart guy and then violently ordering the other members to play it, each mistake resulting in a spank (on the ass and occasionally balls), with Dave calling his unconventional methods “the Quincy Jones technique.” This has become a team-building endeavor for the band, as Greg has stated he intentionally plays poorly to receive such punishment. As an avid member of the DIY community, Wince is one of the head curators of the alternative venue “the Brooklyn Sack,” hosting their weekly balls. They have been featured in Brooklyn Vegan’s “Top 20 Hardest Working NYC bands who are also Italian”.
