Born Isaac Lucas in Lawrence, KS, and raised in Lacey, WA, Relaye found his passion for music early on, influenced by his parents' reggae band and the bevy of instruments and vinyl records at his fingertips growing up. Eventually making beats to freestyle over with his high school basketball team, it wasn't until college that he began recording his material, pursuing music professionally and signing with an independent label. Making it's way into numerous films and TV shows, Relaye's dynamic Hip-Hop sound seamlessly blends mainstream and underground elements, defying traditional labels and featuring eclectic instrumentation and skillful flows rooted in lyricism. Driven by the transformative power of music, Relaye aims to demonstrate his artistic versatility with tracks ranging from profane to profound, about love, confidence and not taking life too seriously.
