Neptune is Widely considered by most heavy metal gurus as one of the best unsigned Epic Metal bands from Sweden in the '80s. With an image and songwriting style like a mix between IRON MAIDEN, ACCEPT, BLACK SABBATH, and JUDAS PRIEST. The band penned some great classic heavy metal tunes as ENEMIES and PROTECTOR and managed to gain a cult status among demo collectors and underground metal fans around the globe. Finally, several of their recordings made between 84-87 are now released both on CD, Vinyl as well as on Spotify. After the band's reunion late 2017, have they released one digital EP. Their sequel to the compilation album "Land of Northern" has been named Northern Steel and was released in the end of 2020. To show what Nordic steel consists of, they have invited several of their friends such as Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall), Euge Valovirta (Cyhra), Stephen Carlson (Brotthogg) and Lars Chriss (Lions Share) to participate and show the Nordic Steel at its best. The album Northen Steel was voted as one of the best albums of 2020 of Sweden rock Magazines readers.
