At the end of 2016, he was chose by Spotify as ’25 under 25’ which is 25 most influential artists under the age of 25. His first EP, 130 Mood: TRBL arrived the following year, debuting at number three on Billboard's World Album chart. The next year, he released the singles "limbo" and "love" with Syd of The Internet. ‘love’ was featured on the beats1 list on Apple Music as an only Asian artist ever. At the end of 2017, DEAN released a single ‘instagram'. The single is one of the songs of the first studio album ‘130 mood : RVNG’. The single reached #1 at all charts in Korea.
