When this story began, CUT CITY were all nestled in Gothenburg on the rainy west coast. That was back in ’05 when post punk had generated its 2nd wave splash via transmissions from NYC that quickly rippled throughout the globe (or so it seemed). CUT CITY was adopted by Gold Standard Laboratories (The Mars Volta, The Locust, !!!, Arab on Radar etc) and released a self-titled EP which as dancey as you would think. Their debut album, EXIT DECADES, was a seemingly dark exercise but it was all front because in hindsight, how could one be depressed when fans and magazines were knocking on the door? Depression though (stereotypical not clinical) was more the underlying current of child number 2, WHERE’S THE HARM IN DREAMS DISARMED, which was fueled by realistic expectations by unrealistic real persons which in turn triggered a much needed pause. For ten years. Fast forward those ten years, past families and side projects and we find ourselves with an vigorous set of characters ready to pull the nails out of the coffin and start dance on their own grave. Since the relaunch of CUT CITY they've released two EP:s and two albums - TAPE DAYS was their 3rd album and a monumental homage to their upbringing in the eighties. Then came HONEYMOON AT THE BARRICADES which was just showing off their punk rock skills, a 12 song explosion of sound & rhythm. CUT CITY is David, Magnus, Max and Oskar.
