Биография
Dance à la Plage, meaning Dance at the Beach in French, are a guitar pop band originally from Banbury, Oxfordshire – a place nowhere near a beach. Members Joe, Harry, Sully and Howard formed the band in 2011 after meeting at Leamington Spa college where they studied music. Soon after forming, the band played their first show at local venue AKA and caught the attention of owner Marc Sylvester who offered to pay for their first studio recordings; Priorities and Matilda. In 2012 the band self-released their debut EP ‘A Short Stay at Clarence Pier’, recorded with Tom Gittins (Monochrome Productions). The EP gained a huge amount of organic support, breaking the top 10 Alternative chart on iTunes and lead to Dance à la Plage being invited to support artists such as The 1975, Coasts, Little Comets, Stooshe and Professor Green. In 2014, three of the four band members decided to continue their studies and moved to Guildford, Surrey to join the ACM. During this time, the band released 'Hope, a song that some fans believed hinted at tensions forming within the band. After a break during 2015, Dance à la Plage returned with ‘2 2 2’, a single that gained support from the likes of, BBC Introducing Music, CLASH, Indie Air and more. In 2017, the band announced that they were splitting up. They continued to share unreleased material with fans which they had recorded over the years such as ‘Fever’, ‘Wanna Move Like You’ and ‘Give It Up’ before releasing 'The Last Dance' album.
