Hindarfjäll is a Swedish music group that explores Norse beliefs, traditions and myths through lyrical and musical expressions. Their depiction and interpretation of the Old Norse religion illuminates a time when man had a comprehensive philosophy of life that meant constantly living in an interplay between the divine powers of heaven and earth. The lyrics offer deeply ancient notions from a Pre-Christian world that sweep us back to a multifaceted and colourful landscape with a strong belief in parallel realities, sacred stones, the individual's own ability, morality, diversity, rebirth and a weaving destiny. The band’s unique unification of archaic thoughts and contemporary musical components forms a fitting bridge between the past and the present. The meeting between modern and old instruments and the use of both Swedish and Old Norse tends to create a new exciting relationship that interacts with the listeners on a deep level. With the help of majestic and distinctive choirs, rumbling drums, soothing flutes and enchanting harps Hindarfjäll conveys reflections of the nuanced complexity of the Old Scandinavian Custom which the Norsemen called Siðr. Hindarfjäll signed with Grimfrost Records 2020 and has since then released two albums together with a single that features Peter Franzen who portayed Harald Finehair in the TV-series VIKINGS. Their second album Lärads Grenar also includes guest artists Johan Hegg from Amon Amarth & Erik Grawsiö from Månegarm.
