Some artists seem to bear within them the secret of a conquering exaltation and a contagious happiness. La Battue are among those ! The disciples of Local Natives and Phoenix reveal an imaginary kingdom inspired by both the Beach Boys and Steve Reich, resuming possession of electronic music to extract its organic quintessence and exploring echoes with melodic clarity. Ellie and Yurie, choir sisters of a different mother, mix voices and keyboards, while Ellie’s brother, Bertrand, drives the rhythm on the drums. This mixed French-British-Korean family will release their first album in 2023.
