Ism - a distinctive practice, system, or philosophy, typically a political ideology or an artistic movement. 
 An “ism” is a categorizing word. It is used to define and divide, often with a lack of compassion. As a writer, I face the perils plaguing our modern society through a breakdown of today's sociopolitical climate, while delivering a brutally honest analysis of how I interact with it, how I am effected by it and what one may indulge in to deal with it. Uncharted Waters is a continuation of the sound I developed on my last album, Blue Mantis. I found my place somewhere between modern indie rock/alternative rap. What sounds like an unlikely combination, actually makes complete sense. It is a result of influences including the classic rockers of my father's teenage years and the rappers of mine. The lyrics are both meaningful and personal with a hint of darkness while also being playful and fun. It is a song that really captures how I've often felt over these last 2 years of uncertainty but it is also something listeners can just straight up get down to. My goal was to create something people could turn to if they want to feel everything in the lyrics that is simultaneously something they could turn to if they want to move to a slapping bass line and feel nothing at all.
