Alternative rock band skypark formed in Orange County, California in 1994. Though they remain a band, they have not released music together since 2006’s independent album NoAmbition. The band includes independent artist Tyrone Wells as vocalist, Tony Deerfield on bass, Keith Gove on drums, and Joey Aszterbaum on guitar. **Worth noting: other bands named “Skypark” produced albums, but skypark’s only official releases are Am I Pretty? (1998), overbluecity (2000), and NoAmbition (2006). The mysterious origin of the band began when bass player Tony Deerfield’s mom had a vision in which God told her Tony would become a famous rock musician. She encouraged Tony to drop out of high school and move from Chicago, where he was a founding member of seminal garage rock bands The Bumbling Idiots and Earthman Mental Intermission, to Los Angeles. When his apartment building was demolished by the 1994 Northridge earthquake, he moved to Orange County and recruited the other members. Overproduced indie rock. Underproduced arena rock.
