whosputo is a band from Portugal. their sound floats between soul, funk, R&B and electronic music. The band´s first full length, Art of Decay, features the already promoted singles Floating, Whole Again and Purple Vests. These are accompanied by 7 new songs that proceed to pursuit the same sonic path through Electronic music, Trip-Hop, Jazz and Rnb and that embody their “Manifest of Decay”. From up-tempo songs in an electronic and break beat fashion to melancholic and swaggy slow ballads, the quartet uses an extent palette of colours to paint a picture of interior journey, personal wandering, love or its impossibility and urban life, problematic in itself and yet full of content for a generation and community of young/mid young people. The four band members, Raimundo Carvalho (guitar, voice and keys), Miguel Fernández (drums and samples), Tiago Martins (bass) e Tom Maciel (keyboards and synthethisors) were joined by Filipe Paes ( keyboardist and producer for Sequin) and Luís Lucena (guitarist in Quatro Quarto and Melquíades) in the production of 9 out of the 10 faixas tracks in the album. The master was done by Hugo Valverde, that finalized an independent and DIY project.
