James Lanman is a California born singer songwriter with a retro sound heavily rooted in jazz, folk and neo soul. Spending a number of years touring his original music across the US and Canada and living out of a van, Lanman has been fortunate enough to perform both intimate and larger venues across North America as a solo act. With a long career spanning more than 15 years and fronting a number of various musical projects, Lanman has graced stages and theaters such as the Fargodome in North Dakota and the Moore Theater in Seattle, major festivals such as SXSW, as well as hundreds of intimate venues from Europe to North America. Lanman's performance of a Stevie Wonder cover in a Scandinavian Insurance commercial (in which he also acted in) a number of years back also earned him a strong following across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. This holiday season Lanman is putting out three brand new holiday duets. "Blue Christmas" featuring singer Alessandra Rose of Seattle, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" featuring vocalist Ren Geisick of San Jose as well as Geisick's original song, "I'm With You and It's Christmas Too". Upon finishing up a tour of holiday music across the west coast in December of 2022, Lanman plans to release more original music in early 2023.
