You might know Bryan Paul Bell's music from his presence on any number of shows: What We Do in The Shadows, The Vampire Diaries, Californication. His distinctive voice, commanding guitar style and compelling lyrics have been heard and appreciated by millions around the world. Bryan learned to play guitar at the age of seven. His family was homeless and living in a Ford delivery truck when his father found an acoustic guitar sitting by a thrift store donation bin. He grabbed (stole?) it and Bryan had what would become his constant companion. He learned what he could from anyone who would take the time to teach him, but living on the road meant he had to figure a lot out on his own. From the start, he strived to write his own songs. Fourteen years later, Bryan was performing his songs with his all-original band, Large Wooden Matches. They played the many bars around his hometown of Bakersfield, California, and drew large crowds even though they were playing original songs in places where most bands only played the stale covers most people expect from bar bands. The group eventually disbanded and Bryan set a new course as a solo artist. His first release was an eponymous EP  containing a track that caught the attention of music supervisors, "Devil's Gotta Dance." In August, Bryan will release his first full-length album "Midnight On A Dead Man's Boat." The first single, "Talking To My Girl," is streaming now.
