Биография

Formed in 1991, Parikrama are the premier rock n roll export from India. Inspired by the legends of rock n roll, Parikrama (which started as a summer project) has played over 3000 concerts all across the world and show no intentions of stopping any time soon . The band, which incorporates many Indian instruments such as the violin. the Indian bamboo flute, sitar and tabla into their sound has come to be known for their unique sound world over. In 2007, they opened for heavy metal giants Iron Maiden on their debut tour of India which led Parikrama to go on tour with them across stages all over the U.K including the mecca of rock n roll, the Download Festival. Because of their unique sound, Parikrama has also played at prestigious unorthodox venues across the world including the famous Kennedy Centre in Washington D.C and the Esplanade Theatres in Singapore. The bands most famous release, But It Rained (Extended Version) is still regarded as one of the most popular songs to have come out of the Indian independent scene and they have been busy in the studio working on new music which is slated to release later this year.
