Swedish sextet Last Amanda fuse the melodic alternative rock of U2, Sugar, and the Oyster Band with an emotional urgency that mirrors their Scandinavian roots. Longtime friends, the band consists of vocalist Mårten Larsson, bass player Nicholas Oja, drummer Peter Limber, and guitarists Andreas Magnusson and Magnus Sandberg. The group flirted with fame on the local level, but had their sights set on a different coast. After holing themselves away in a remote cabin to compose what would eventually become their debut album, and despite turning numerous industry heads in and around the Stockholm scene, the group headed to Los Angeles, CA. After securing time at The Sound Factory in Hollywood, they called in Dave Holedridge (Incubus, Ben Harper, Hoobastank) to handle the production duties.
