Faceplant is a 3-piece grunge/punk band based in Philadelphia, consisting of Jennifer Watson (vocals/guitar), Isaac Shalit (Bass) and Dorthia Schreyer (drums). They have released 3 self-produced studio albums, 5 EPs, and various different smaller projects. Formed from a very young age in 2013 during the collapse of Jen's "internet child prodigy" journey, Faceplant has been through many different stylistic reincarnation, ranging from hardcore punk and post-rock, to folk and ambient, all of which are deeply ingrained in their musical DNA. Faceplant maintains a very strong DIY ethic and sense of community with their fans, and their shows are known for their intensity and high energy. Their new single "Everduring" features the band in their most restrained form yet, with a quiet instrumental and lyrics that function with no discernible subject matter, rather as a stream of abstract emotional vignettes.
