Born as Kim Söderlund, the Stockholm-based multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, DJ, and performer goes by the moniker of Kimchii. His music is a portal to another world, a sonic dream where the boundaries between sunrise and night fade away in complete harmony. Kimchii's sound is a playful and free mix of various genres, including alternative dance, indie soul, house, disco, and pop, with a cinematic approach, creating a distinctive dreamy, groovy, and euphoric soundscape. Since his 2020 debut single, "When You Feel The Time Is Right," released by Kitsuné Musique, Kimchii has collaborated with notable artists like Kraak & Smaak, Anoraak, Turbotiito, Rebecca & Fiona, and GRANT, gaining support from top-tier DJs and producers all around ther globe. Kimchii's music has been featured on various media outlets, including BBC Music, KCRW, and Swedish P3, and his single "When You Feel The Time Is Right" recently appeared on HBO's "The Sex Lives Of College Girls." In 2022, Kimchii opened sold-out shows for L'Impératrice and MEUTE while producing new music and refining his sound. In early 2023, Kimchii launched a new captivating single, "Energetic Fields," marking the start of an exciting new chapter in his musical journey.
