She moved 15 times before she turned 18 and has moved nine times since; Courtney Farren has stories to tell. The artist, songwriter, and producer, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, has spent most of her life on the road. Along the way, she has played shows in cities including Harlem, NYC, Paris, Dublin, Boston, and Los Angeles. Her first EP, recorded when she was 18, led to her playing SXSW in 2018, following which she decided to shift gears and move to a remote village in Croatia, where she refined her production and songwriting skills. Now, finding inspiration in East Los Angeles, Courtney has released her EP, “Rabbit King,” to an audience of individuals looking to push the boundaries of expression, innovation, and sustainability. Recently quoted for a blog reviewing her single, “King,” Courtney remarks, “The industry is rapidly changing and I want to be a part of the dialogue that lifts the veil for other artists through shared experiences. A safer, freer, more collaborative, and sustainable industry is possible.” Having been in and around the music industry for ten years, Courtney is unabashed and outspoken about her experiences, and her EP, "Rabbit King", is only the beginning.
