In a sudden burst of spontaneity, I packed up my belongings in LA and set out across America. Winding through Nashville, Tennessee and ultimately flying across the Atlantic out of Alabama. Going back to my homeland of England, to live in the countryside and completely self produce my debut album in solitude. Since my late teens I’ve worked with various managers, producers, engineers, record labels….and though I’m grateful for these times, it meant always having to share the vision of what my music would sound like. It never killed my desire to have full control of my art, merely kept it hibernating. In a barn above a horse stable, with chickens making their claims to fame in the background of recordings. I am empowered to capture my best work. 13 songs…almost 1 hour of music in which I’m playing all the instruments. It felt right for my debut album to be completely mine. A personal creation to its core. Only on occasion will I be inviting a friend or two to lend a hand on drums. The world is flawed. Especially when humans are involved. More than ever we need people to speak their truth. With this material I promise to be the most genuine I can be. Courage over fear. 2023 is a big year. Thank you for sticking by my side.
