It started out with a few songs written by singer Andrew Osborne, enticing Indra Wicaksana to fill out the low end with his bodacious bass lines. It wasn't long after the two founding members got jamming together that Andrew met lead guitarist Maxwell Mitchell at the pub, and by pure chance, it was a match made in heaven. As legend has it, at pretty much the same time, drummer Nelson Otten's feet touched down off the spirit of Tasmania and onto the golden soils of the mainland. Shaboom, Art Department was born. Drawing inspiration from Parcels to Arctic Monkeys, keep an eye on these fellas, they're not a band to be missed.
