Биография
Bananas in Pyjamas is a long-running Australian children's television show, which premiered July 1992 on ABC TV. It has since become syndicated in many different countries, and dubbed into other languages. The show is watched and loved by pre-schoolers in over 135 countries. The concept was inspired by the song ‘Bananas in Pyjamas’, written by Carey Blyton in 1967, on Play School. This song, which had become a regular item on Play School, became the theme of the new series. The main characters, B1 & B2, are mischievous twins who cannot resist playing tricks on their teddy bear friends, Amy, Lulu and Morgan, all of whom live on Cuddles Avenue. Each episode is a self-contained story in which B1 & B2 set out to solve a problem with a positive, 'can do' frame of mind. They are full of confidence, good humour, generosity and optimism, however their attempts to deal with the situation or to achieve their aims generally runs them into more problems. B1 & B2 are well-known for their famous catchphrase, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking B1?”, “I think I am B2!”. Music and singing have always been central to Bananas in Pyjamas. Many of the original music albums have received ARIA Award nominations in the ‘Best Children’s Album’ category. Bananas in Pyjamas remain cultural icons in Australia. Generations of pre-schoolers and their parents have grown up with the show. Bananas In Pyjamas were featured prominently in the closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
