Биография
Slik Toxik was formed in October of 1988 by singer/songwriter Nick Walsh, guitarists Rob Bruce and Kevin Gale and lyricist Dave Mercel. They had played together previously in various combinations but this was the first time the four had got together as a unit. As a songwriting team, they showed immediate promise, and with the subsequent addition of bassist Pat Howarth and drummer Neal Busby the band soon coalesced into a potent creative force. The band had two releases through the Capitol/EMI label in the forms of the E.P. 'Smooth & Deadly' as well as the 'Juno Award' winning album 'Doin' the Nasty'. During this time they toured throughout Canada and the U.S. both headlining and sharing the stage with such acts as Black Sabbath, Yngwie Malmsteen, Faster Pussycat and more. The third release titled 'Irrelevant', came way of an indie label distributed by A&M . Shortly after the advent of grunge had swept away the hard rock of the 80's and early 90's, the band decided to part ways.
