Migz Haleco is a Singer-Songwriter and Music Producer known for his pop alternative vocal style with guitar-playing heavily influenced by musicians such as Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and more. Aside from his viral covers on Soundcloud and YouTube in 2012, his first significant accomplishment as a musician came in 2010 when he joined the talent search program “Talentadong Pinoy” and became one of their semi-finalists. Migz first launched into the mainstream music scene as part of the duo “Migz and Maya.” They were known for their cover of “Ambon,” which eventually became the Official Soundtrack of the hit movie “How to Be Yours.” In 2017, after parting ways with his duet partner, Migz’s career as a solo artist took off. He released a debut album titled “THIS,” which featured his original compositions, “Pare Tama Na,” “Pag Ika’y Nagmahal,” and “Lihim,” with his then record label and management. In the same year, he became part of the biggest songwriting contest in the Philippines: Himig Handog. He interpreted the song “Bes,” composed by Eric De Leon; the song garnered 1M+ streams to date. In 2018, Migz was awarded “Acoustic Artist of The Year” by PMPC Star Awards for Music. Migz decided to take a self-imposed hiatus for two years because he believed that to create meaningful work, he had to delve deeper into the musical aspect of his life. Thus, he started a Music Production Business called WYL Music with his partner, Saskia.
