Victor Brooks is a soul vocalist whose vocal style is reminiscent of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and Maxwell. Victor's family moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he was 13-year-old. His early influences came from gospel and jazz, but moving to Memphis of course introduced Victor to the Southern soul and blues music genre. Victor started to watch and learn from the likes of Al Green, Isaac Hayes, The Emotions, The Bar-Kays etc. In the early 80s Victor moved to LA, where he co wrote with The Rock and Roll Legend Little Richard, performed with Gospel Master Andrae Crouch and a host of other music industry giants, also contributing to Brian McKnight's debut album, co writing "Love Me Hold Me" with Brian McKnight. Victor eventually landed in Brazil, where he connected with the Rio songwriter, producer Ze Ricardo who later Produced and co-wrote along with Victor the "Victor Brooks Samba Soul". In July of 2022, Victor released his original song, "Mr. Miracle", that was Produced and Arranged by 10 Time Grammy Award winner Mark Kibble of Take 6. Victor enjoys the natural infusing of Latin Jazz, Bossa Nova, US Soul/Funk and Gospel that has become his signature sound
