Florida rapper Wintertime came into the public view while still in his late teens through collaborations with like-minded mumble rap sensation Lil Yachty on late-2015’s Wintertime on a Boat EP. Combining lighthearted, surreal, and often ridiculous rhymes and pop-minded trap beats, Wintertime’s style was decidedly more melodic and breezy than some of his harsher trap contemporaries. A 2016 mixtape, I Know What You Did Last Winter, featured a guest spot from ILoveMakonnen and a self-titled ten-track mixtape followed in 2017. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
