Monzanto Sound is a London-based music collective, fusing together different styles from the African Diaspora and combining them with a hypnotic, psychedelic edge. 
A high energy, rhythmic group with an ear for space and simplicity, their sonic aesthetic is carefully considered, traversing through krautrock inflected funk, psychedelic trip hop and cosmic neo-soul, they connect the dots using pulsating grooves, hypnotic polyrhythms and soaring vocals. 
 A restructuring of the band in 2020 led to changes with their lead vocalist. Today the band is a five-piece outfit with Wazoo Baden-Powell on drums, Anthony Boatright on bass, Rachel Asafo-Agei on guitar, Mali Baden-Powell (Mali-I / Z Lovecraft) on keys & Mimi Koku on vocals.
