Now a four-piece Alternative Rock band, Cutest Nuisance was born of the pandemic as a solo project by Devin Brezak in Chicago, IL. Alongside friend, creative partner, and producer Brad V Earl (drummer), the two aimed to form a full-fledged band in which to write and gig together. The addition of Matt Cortez (bassist) and Melissa Hernandez (guitarist) set the four in motion as a creative outlet for writing and playing with influences ranging from all over the genre spectrum. Tethering to a more grounded, straight forward sound, the band set out to write an EP that would eventually become their first release, “As Good As You Remember” (2022). Dealing with themes of loneliness, aging, and nostalgia, the six song EP detailed the effects of an internal dilemma in a changing world both creatively and pragmatically amidst the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020. Nearly a year after their first release, the band has begun writing with plans to release their upcoming full-length album in Spring 2023.
