Born & raised in Melbourne’s North to a Sri Lankan father and Italian mother, Matthew Craig is a pivotal figure in the global generation of Hip-Hop in Australia. The AUD’$ figurehead is one of the most in demand hip-hop curators in the country, having worked as a selector for the likes of Apple Music, TikTok, and Triple J, while his industry insight saw him also featured as a speaker at the most recent BIGSOUND Conference. As a presenter, Craig has an extensive resume having interviewed global names including Killer Mike, Saint JHN, Brent Faiyaz, and Ari Lennox and providing the earliest coverage of acts including The Kid Laroi, Mason Dane and ChillinIt. A recording artist in his own right, Craig’s rap credentials are on full display in his debut project “Pass The Lighter Vol.1” which launched in September 2022 at sold out headline Melbourne show, before performing alongside hip-hop OG, DJ Quik on his recent tour of Australia.
