Bottling the feeling of wild abandon that comes with being at a life-changing concert with your friends, or taking a trip with someone you love, wilo wilde’s music feels at once nostalgic and future-facing. The California singer, songwriter and producer’s sound is rooted in the y2k era, with butterfly-light synths, breathy vocals and sugarcane melodies that recall garage, while also tapping into the soulful, emotive side of EDM. Having studied at the prestigious ICON Collective music school in LA, wilo found success on TikTok with her bedroom-produced sound, where her first singles have soared to over 175 million views, resulting in over 8 million streams on her debut EP ‘runaway’, despite being fully independently released. Influenced by PinkPantheress, Porter Robinson and The 1975, plus the anthemic styles of Avicii and Swedish House Mafia, wilo wilde’s music is deeply personal and unbashful in its lyricism.
