Entormus is the experimental music journal of creator Aaron Aycox. Aaron is a songwriter, musician and performer from North Texas. He was a founding member of the Gainesville, TX metal band Zia in 2000 with late guitarist Chris Alford. Zia released their first official album in '04 titled 2004, followed by Behind The Lines in '07. Both albums were recorded in a crude low-budget home studio favorably dubbed "Zia Studios". In 2008 now with a slightly better budget and equipment Zia Studios moves to Gainesville, TX with new full time member Alex Penner they record and release Splinter followed by Victory in '2009 before disbanding in early '2010. Aycox goes on to write and record using his stage name: Entormus recording a 3-track promo EP mostly handed out in the DFW metal scene. Aycox rejoins forces with Penner in '12 as drummer for the two man True Texas Black Metal band Kobold's Fist and as guitarist for the Gainesville, TX based thrash metal band The Great Hanging. Despite staying busy playing live shows Entormus manages to release his first LP Symbols of the Six in 2013 just before touring with The Great Hanging late '13 - early '14 to promote their upcoming album Power//Thrash with Kobold's Fist as a supporting act. Entormus left The Great Hanging in Nov of '18 to focus on recording his own material. Kobold's Fist remains on hiatus most of the time occasionally making a rare appearance.
