Toronto artist Roney has been featured on WSHH, HotNewHipHop, Vice, OVO Sound Radio. He broke into the rap scene in 2012, dropping tracks, videos & mixtapes amassing 100’s of thousands of views. If you’re from the city, there’s no denying you’ve heard of Roney; he had all the high school kids bumping his music. As his buzz was reaching new heights in 2014, he was caught in a project raid and served almost 4 years; while being falsely accused of other serious crimes, which later got dropped. After his release in Jan 2018, his fans were anxious for new music. He wasted no time and dropped First Day Out which generated over 30,000 views in 1 day and was trending on YouTube. He shortly released several singles such as Little Do You Know which had 80,000+ views in a week. One of his career highlights was having Forget About Me featured on WorldStar in March 2019; on their YouTube channel as a WSHH Exclusive. The video currently has over 2,000,000+ views and 3,000,000+ streams on all music platforms. In October 2020, Roney dropped his Apple Music chart topping album Different Route which peaked #16 in hip hop/rap. A few singles are Go There is currently at over 3,000,000+ streams on Spotify. Trapstar made the cover of Spotify playlist Northern Bars and added on several editorial playlists such as Hip Hop Central. Roney is consistent, versatile, has had a long standing career and is more relevant than ever. Roney can’t be stopped until he reaches mainstream success.
