Bendik Brænne is a Norwegian saxophonist, producer and recording artist. He is also known as a session musician, having performed on recordings by Dumdum Boys, Odd Nordstoga, Hellbillies, Backstreet Girls, Kurt Nilsen, Jonas Alaska and many more. Growing up, Brænne started writing songs in the basement of his childhood home with older brother Mattis Brænne Wigestrand. Both of them, who at the time played in different ska/punk bands, started writing songs together for their respective bands. This evolved into an ongoing collaboration. Brænne has been rewarded two Spellemann - Norways equivalent of the Grammys. He's album, The last great country swindle, featured contributions from Daniel Romano, and members of Los Plantronics, a mariachi death surf-orchestra Brænne is a member of. May 2019 Brænne announced he's new punk-pop project called The Needs.
