Buckinghamshire, UK based Nick Byrne blends poignant melancholia and thoughtful lyricism into a contemporary mix of indie-folk. 'Summer Rain' is an introspective ode to young love, heartbreak and healing. The string-laden single portrays a midsummer downpour as a moment of realisation ahead of a journey towards recovery – and the start of something new. Previous single 'Houses' showcased his capability for fingerpicked acoustica, drawing comparisons with Novo Amor and Keaton Henson. Championed by the likes of Mahogany sessions and Amazing Radio’s Frankie Francis, it drew praise for its inspiring lyricism and understated delivery. 'Summer Rain' is the second of Nick’s tracks to be produced by Jake Robbins (Weird Milk , Ben McKelvey). Previous releases 'Birch Tree' and 'Through The Tall Grass EP' garnered praise from BBC Wales and BBC Ulster, helping secure a notable slot supporting indie-pop starlet Declan McKenna.
