A contemporary Christian artist, James released his first album titled 'Brand New Day' in 2013 which has received much international acclaim. His self composed songs are honest, passionate songs and simple and easy to the ears. James has been leading worship for the past 18 years. He is also the only Indian Christian artist to be nominated in the prestigious IMEA Awards. His album 'Brand New Day' was nominated as the album of the year in the Christian/Gospel genre. The song 'Brand New Day' from the album won the IMEA Award for the best song and James Basnet won the award for the best male artist of the year. The song 'Brand New Day' also won the Akademia award for the best Gospel/World beat song in November 2014. Early 2015 James released the 2nd edition of "Brand New Day" featuring 2 Bonus Tracks, 'The Saviour Is Born' (Christmas Song) and 'Just The Way You Are' (Introduction to his second album) . Winning several international awards with only his first album, this upcoming artist is one to look out for. Currently serving at City Light Church Matthews, North Carolina, USA as a Worship Pastor and a Church Elder. James Just release his 5th worship album “Beginning” on November 11th 2022 recorded at the studio called GAT3 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
