Simon Ward is an award winning, critically acclaimed musical artist whose multi-faceted career includes lead singer / principal songwriter of The Strumbellas, solo artist known as Simon and the Island and feature vocalist in the worlds of EDM, Pop, Folk/Roots and Children’s music. He is also a songwriter for film and tv, co-songwriter with artists and music producer. Ward’s craft has taken him all over the world, and scored him numerous awards including Single of the Year (JUNO Awards), Songwriter of the Year awards (SOCAN, CMW Indies, Canadian Independent Music Awards), SOCAN Awards for Best Rock Song, Best Folk / Roots song, Best Rock Video (Spirits – MMVAs), Best New Rock / Alt Rock Artist (iHeartRadio Awards). The single, Spirits, achieved triple platinum in Italy and Canada, gold in America, Germany and France.
