MIMMI is finally ready to release her new album Titanic. MIMMI continues to forge her own musical path on her new album Titanic. It will be released on September 30th, 2022, on Subsonic Society Audio and it is the second installment of her Shadow Work trilogy. Part 1 of it was her critically acclaimed album Semper Eadem which was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy in 2020 and will also be staged as a theatrical production on the main stage of Det Norske Teatret (The Norwegian Theatre) in January 2023. The album Semper Eadem was about being born again and the stories in it are told through MIMMI’s alter ego where she breaks out of her own identity and the stereotypes surrounding her. The record was heavily inspired by Queen Elizabeth I and on it she developed her own version of baroque pop. On Titanic MIMMI now invites us into a new lyrical and musical world of her own creation. The music is more closely aligned with the genre of art pop, and the lyrics take place in the world of her dreams capturing a state where it is unclear whether she is awake or dreaming.
