Not My Time To Die burst onto the scene, shocking both audiences and the Northern Norwegian music industry when they emerged as winners of Bukta Battle 2019. They were described by the jury as ‘’one of the most energetic live performers we’ve seen since Honningbarna’’. This led to the production of their first album and music video, while also being put on the Bukta Open Air Festival bill, alongside artists such as Weezer and Franz Ferdinand. The band’s songs are written in Norwegian and Northern Sámi, which are played in a noisy rock n’ roll style with a punky attitude. Not My Time To Die has since 2018 released several singles, such as ‘’Ranegal’’ and ‘’Depressive Verden’’, while also releasing their debut album ‘’Feila Gena’’ in the tail end of 2020. ‘’Feila Gena’’ contains tracks with Norwegian lyrics, with a provocative and humorous touch. Long story short, it’s straight-forward balls-to-the-wall rock.
