Биография
Born from the beating heart of the Birmingham, Alabama music scene, Zoo Culture recently begun its evolution from a core group of players into a dynamic collective of talented creatives with lead vocalist and songwriter, Alex Drummond at the helm. Early iterations of Zoo Culture such as the band’s debut EP, “Moonflower” demonstrates influences of indie and surf rock sonically, and gave Drummond a voice for his poetry and subsequent blooming lyricism. “July” became the EP’s remembered radio play, while “Dissolve” foreshadowed a new future of lyricism focused works. Although the band’s debut release conceived the Zoo Culture base audience, the youth-filled hit single, “Sundress”, a visceral fusion of warm guitars and anthem style near lustful lyrics, became a defining spark for the group, and catapulted Zoo Culture onto the national stage. Recent works such as the experimental 2022 release of, “Escape Plan”, reveal Zoo Culture’s propensity for growth in sound and maturity as a collective. On September 12th, 2022, the 3rd birthday of “Sundress”, the group released “Sundress (Beachcomber Version)” as a commemoration of the old and new Zoo Culture. Drummond states the newly orchestral alternative voice defines the direction of an ever-growing universe of players and ideas that will embody Zoo Culture. As the collective expands and performs with new faces and instruments, the horizons are bright for this now Nashville, Tennessee centralized sound. Written by Oxford Con
