Aspiring alternative rock group One Nine Eight, hailing from Glasgow, have hit the Scottish music scene starting only in June 2022. Releasing four successful singles last year independently from their own home studio, they are itching for everyone to hear their exciting new releases. Drawing influence from the grunge and nu-metal of the 90s alongside modern indie songwriting, the band is bringing back the 90s sound that's been infecting the rock sphere. With vocals from Harrison Gray, Charlie Beaton’s lead guitar work, Julian Lyon on bass and James Kealy on the kit, the band is creating music that both tributes the nostalgia of the Foo Fighters and the wit and charm of Fontaines D.C. Despite their humble beginnings being mates in high school, One Nine Eight have been rapidly turning heads in Central Scotland, gaining a loyal following through their slamming tunes and energetic performances at places like The Garage and King Tut's Wah-Wah Hut.
