Биография

London based singer-songwriter K Anderson has made a name for himself through his self-deprecating, and deeply personal, songwriting. Best known for his 2014 single ’14 Year Old Me’, a song in which he apologises to his younger self for being 'weak willed, and a little bit slutty', Anderson has never been afraid to open up about, and poke fun at, his own experiences. For his next venture, though, Anderson is shifting the focus from his own life to the lives of others. Whilst still writing from an outsider perspective, Anderson’s latest project, Lost Spaces, a podcast and accompanying concept album, mourns the death of queer nightlife and explores queer experiences as told through now-closed bars and clubs. The project seeks to explore what is lost when these spaces no longer exist, recognising their importance in helping people to explore their own identity and develop relationships. The first song to be released alongside the podcast is ‘Well Groomed Boys’. An early 80s, new wave gem with a fizzy synth and cynical lyrics - think The Cars meets John Grant - Anderson waits, slumped by the bar, for his lover to arrive and call off their relationship, all the while chanting to himself the lyrics to the chorus, ‘a lesson that stings is a lesson you remember’.
