Danny Goring grew up in Sussex, England writing songs and forming various bands and musical projects from an early age. He played in Newcastle based indie band The History Chair before returning to Sussex following a journey to West Africa back to the roots of rhythm and harmony. Danny has been consistently involved in grassroots community music projects and formed indie folk-rockers The Wild Service with his brother George in the later 90s. Danny is an accomplished guitarist drawing on folk and roots based forms to create lyrical songs with personal and universal themes and cites Bob Dylan, William Blake, Bob Marley, Billy Bragg and The Copper Family amongst his many influences. In 2019 Danny linked up with Finnish/Swedish producer Nalle Ahlstedt and has released five digital singles on the D8 Music label, the most recent being ‘The Lamb Becomes The Lion’. He continues to write, record and perform live as well as playing in a reformed Wild Service.
