“Everybody called me José Lopez Macho Frasquelo  and I dressed as a choirboy with a three meters crucifix, at those times I used to make a furious striptease to Lou Reed and Kraftwerk songs. That’s when Giovanni Lindo Ferretti called me in CCCP – Fedeli Alla Linea My home was an old farmstead house in the countryside, in the winter it was freezing… I was a singer, an artist, and instead of working once a week I varnished my car, an old R4. I started going to the scrapyards to pick up wheel rims, car lights and doors… then I assembled all the pieces together. I was full of those sculptures, so one day I opened an exposition. I started to write by chance. At first some poems on the school diary, then on random papers within arm’s reach. The inspiration came from some rock poetry books by Lou Reed, Janis Joplin, some Beat Generation books and also Italian Futurisms. I am an artist, when I make a song, it is what it is; who listens to that song can accept it or refuse it, but I don’t worry about explaining its meaning. I think that everyone can find his own meaning in the songs I write, people think artists are always undisciplined. But even if an artist drinks too much, or… does things like this, inside of him he always act with strictness. Art, acting, music… they require much more discipline than… a bricklayer! Because everything is nothing. And the art of nothing is a very serious art."
