    On The Altar is a melodic black metal band from Örgryte, Sweden, formed in 2012. The band was formed by Hangadrott and Serk, and released its debut album From Dawn of Time in October 2017. The band’s main lyrical themes are based on the humanity, the power of nature, and the old ways of thinking. 
 The current line-up consists of Serk and Hangadrott.
