Lightlorn is a cosmic black metal band that was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2021. The concept behind the band is to explore feelings of alienation, isolation, and existential dread, and this is reflected in the band name itself, which can be interpreted as meaning “bereft of light”. Through cosmic themes and lyrics, the band seeks to embrace this darkness and despair – because nothing is darker nor colder than the void between the stars.
