Sinira, "torn apart" in Tagalog, is a melodic black metal entity from the woods of Texas. Formed as an experiment by sole member Knell in 2016 as a way to express dark, majestic, and soaring imagery through the style that was harnessed by Swedish bands of the 90s such as Dissection, Sacramentum, Vinterland and Dawn. On July 1st, 2018, the Dawnless Twilight demo was released independently introducing the world to a spark of what was to come. A run of 50 hand-numbered and handmade CDs were made to support the release thus building a small but dedicated following. After this release, a silence persisted until a couple of years later. June 26th, 2020, The Everlorn was unveiled independently. Now fully utilizing the "metal of death" sound, Knell was finally able to capture the sounds of a soul yearning for a home that is not of this realm. Half homage and half cathartic release, The Everlorn is hurricane of soaring melodies, mournful cries, and thundering percussion. Sinira was signed to Northern Silence Productions as of late 2020 and is in hiding until the next release.
