Welcome to the epic and magical realm of Solamnia! This is me, Mika Lumijärvi, the creator, composer and also the drummer of this project. I've always loved the strong emotions in powerful epic cinematic music you find in big movies and video games. I'm also very much into metal music and many sub-genres of it like symphonic, melodic death, folk, extreme, black and power metal. I've grown with bands like Wintersun, Rhapsody, Nightwish, Kalmah, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom, Ensiferum, Finntroll, Fleshgod Apocalypse...there are so many. Combine all those elements and you get a new hybrid of epic music...you get Solamnia. Every song of ours has a strong fantasy tale behind it and every story is told through expressive and progressive metal music. Solamnia is not just a band but also a community of epic fantasy music. Many talented musicians and artists have been involved in this music and we have also co-worked with some amazing soundtrack-composers and combined our musical style with theirs. It's all about creating epic music!
