noun \ ˈrīmˈwāv \ A sudden increase in the amount of rhymes committed in an area. Rhymewave is a Hip Hop artist and producer known for his complex yet approachable rhymes, relentless delivery, and raw, vulnerable style. He is originally from Minnesota and has been heavily influenced by the Twin Cities' vibrant and nationally recognized indie rap scene, coming into his own as an emcee watching artists like Atmosphere, Eyedea and Abilities, and Aesop Rock. Rhymewave now draws inspiration from a variety of genres, including EDM, though his music remains rooted in underground Hip Hop. Rhymewave continues to further his career by making beats and producing live events such as the ‘OHM on the Range’ Festival in Washington. He has honed his live performance with over a hundred shows around the Portland area and beyond, and his first EP Flowstate was released by Jumpsuit Records in 2019. His collaboration “Blue Blockin’ Hip Hop” with label head and EDM heavy-hitter The Polish Ambassador and subsequent Funk Hunters remix have also earned hundreds of thousands of streams across Spotify and other services.
