SPC Kal is a 21-year-old rapper, singer-songwriter and producer hailing from Sepang, Selangor. The former "Idola Kecil 5" contestant never intended to make music from the beginning, not even thinking about music as a serious endeavour, but slowly leaned into interest after listening to local rap artists such as Against Mel, YAPH, Quai and so on. He started releasing his own music in 2019, where he dabbled with the lo-fi and bedroom subgenre. Fast forward to right now, the Rosjack and Pantai Lido member has shown progression and improvement in his music, showcasing diversity in every single release he put out by experimenting with new sounds such as rage, trap, R&B, drill and even hyperpop. His current sound was inspired by the likes of Yeat, Frank Ocean, Baby Keem and Yung Lean. With numerous mixtapes and albums under his belt, and cosigns earned from major local rappers such as F.Rider and ChronicalZ, his next mixtape, INDIGO23, is set to be one of his biggest projects yet.
