Биография

Tony Echo Ochigbo known professionally as Yung (often stylized as YNUG) started making music in his early college years at the University of Jos, in north-central Nigeria. By the time he had completed his degree, he gained some buzz with his debut project Yung Music Yung Nation and subsequent singles like GSM and S.A.K (shege a kaduna). 
 In 2015, He independently delivered his first full-body project, the bilingual album, Multiple Personality Disorder, which brought forth a lot of critical acclaim and established him as a rapper, proficient in both English and Hausa (one of Nigeria’s major indigenous languages). 
 Multiple Personality Disorder, (produced entirely by Jxmmy Whxxlxr), was a concept album wrapped with a movie theme and checked all the boxes with tracks like Last Night, Sistah, The New Constitution and Coke Lines. 
 July 2017, following a brief hiatus due to deep soul searching, YNUG returned with Summer Salt which featured stand-out records like Four Twenty-Three and True & Through, These singles would later feature again in his August 2018 release, Terms & Conditions, his last album out. 
 On Terms & Conditions YNUG goes at it alone with all-round production, again by Jxmmy Whxxlxr, the pair showing amazing chemistry and so much versatility from start to finish with tracks including Applied Finesse, Dogon Turanci and Moscow. 
 On August 21st 2020, He released his latest album PLAYA OF THE YEAR featuring the international smash single O.K
